Realism, drawn by hand.

Originally from Bell Island but based on the west coast of Newfoundland, Kendall Sweeney is an artist with a practice immersed in realism drawing and installation. Her work explores feelings of familial separation, illusions of comfort, and themes of rural communities.

Kendall renders the content of her work with true-to-life qualities relying on scale, shading, and installation strategies to transform mundane objects into charged moments for audiences to experience and interpret.

Sweeney graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (Visual Arts) from Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2022 and returned to campus shortly after to complete a Bachelor of Business Administration (expected in 2027).
